Sourcing Manager ( Denver, CO ) Building Materials Finance / Accounting - Purchasing Full-time DENVER, COLORADO Base Salary - $100,000 - $117,000 Benefits - Full Yes Bonus Eligible - Yes 10
to 15 years of experience REQUIRED Management Experience Required - No Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree Skills and Certifications Needed:
Someone who has raw material sourcing, contract manufacturing sourcing and transportation/logistics sourcing.
If not all 3, will take contract manufacturing then either raw material or logistic sourcing.
Description:
Manages Direct Materials (Raw Materials) used in manufacturing finished products as well as contract manufacturing to add value to intermediate goods for future resale, and Transportation & external Warehousing Strategic Sourcing.
This includes managing supplier relationships and developing Supply Agreements to ensure JM maintains a competitive manufacturing cost position.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials, contract manufacturing and services, transportation & external warehousing and trading goods for resale with annual spend of $50-75M (>50 Suppliers) that may include:
o Resins o Global Fibers Chemistry o Water Treatment Chemicals o Latexes o Contract Manufacturing Value-Added Services o Transportation & Warehousing Strategic Sourcing o Negotiates Supply Agreements and develops Executive Summaries for review with the appropriate executive leadership team members for approval.
o Develop and implement cost reduction projects, establishes and maintains monthly scorecard metrics and updates that are then presented to JM senior leadership.
This position will be a liaison with the Supply Chain Sourcing Leaders and JM business units to include:
o Lead / support the development of SAP Supply Chain tools to automate and optimize Monthly Variance reporting, Productivity Initiative tracking, Annual Planning, Strategic Planning, and Supplier Scorecarding o Lead / support projects with multi-functional teams to qualify new suppliers o Support initiatives for new product development o Responsible for assuring supply of critical production materials and services that directly impact Production Operations & Customers o Manage Supply Agreements and Agreement compliance o Ensure uninterrupted and sustainable supply of Direct Materials (Raw Materials) to JM facilities and Customers o Ensure uninterrupted and sustainable supply of Value-Added Contract Manufacturing Services to JM facilities and Customers o Strategically Source and Negotiate Transportation (Truck & Rail) and External Services (Warehousing & Distribution) to optimize spend and ensure supply o Lead Modeling and analytical evaluations of Transportation Carriers, Network Optimization & External Warehousing Services o Work with Directors of Operations from JM businesses to maximize value from raw material sourcing o Using various data sources, understand, track and report on market dynamics for all key materials under their responsibility o Develops projects and programs to meet cost savings targets and strategies to achieve lower total cost of ownership in commodities managed o Conduct supplier evaluations and develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost.
Working in cross functional team, establishes vendor qualification strategy and supplier development relationship programs o Develops Agreements that support the Business Units strategic objectives and projects risk exposure o Applies Six Sigma methodologies

Experience:
4 year degree - Business Admin / Supply Chain / Chemical Engineering or related field, A minimum of Ten to Twelve (10 -12) years' experience in product management, sourcing / commodity management with a major company o Must have a minimum of 3 years of Direct Materials Strategic Sourcing experience o This is a specialized Supply Chain skill set typically developed by more senior level Commodity Managers o CPSM desirable Knowledge and Skills:
